The first audio book that was created by teachers and students of Pierce becomes reality

The name of this book is called “An Armful of Smiles” and was donated to the Elementary school of the Center for Education and Rehabilitation for the Blind and the Library of Talking Books of the Panhellenic Association for the Blind.

The author Ms. Irini Kanellopoulou and the Publishing House “Enastron,” gladly gave their permission for the recording. The book was read and recorded by Philippos Pantelis, a student of the Greek Oratory Club of Pierce, under the guidance of Teacher of Greek Language an1 Literature Xenou.

The book marks the beginning of an ambitious project, which aims to have students and teachers make a contribution to the education of children with visual impairment. Throughout the academic year 2021-2022, many events to sensitize our students, which were organized by Ms. Ioanna Pylioti, took place.

Next year, audio recordings on academic subjects, such as descriptions of Physics experiments, will be created with the help of the Technology and Innovation Club.
